Meet Molly Meldon
What's your role with OWL and what inspires you about the company?
I'm a health coach and retail manager at OWL. The most inspiring thing to me about OWL is the focus on healing from the inside out. We really believe in taking the time and putting in the work to heal your body for long-term health and wellness. I love this because healing starts from within and our health is the best thing we can invest in.
What got you into health & wellness?
I’ve always been interested in health & wellness but going through my own gut issues a few years ago really sparked my passion. Learning more about the gut while trying to heal my own SIBO and leaky gut fascinated me. I realized I wanted to help others heal their bodies through food and lifestyle modifications like I did, which led to my health coach training certification and Master of Science in Nutrition Education.
What is the most rewarding aspect of being a health coach?
I got into this industry because I want to help others. After experiencing the true healing power of food firsthand, I’m passionate about helping others feel their best regardless of age or circumstance. The most rewarding aspect of health coaching is seeing my clients succeed and reach their goals. I thrive off of their happiness and success.
What kind of self care rituals do you have?
My number one self care ritual is “legs up the wall” yoga pose, which I refer to as “legs on wall (LOW)”. I do this at least once a day and find it to be the most relaxing, healing practice physically and mentally. The benefits include deep relaxation, stress and anxiety reduction, improved digestion and circulation and it’s a great stretch for the legs and back. Plus it feels great and you can do it anywhere!
Other self-care rituals I love include morning, evening and post-meal walks, morning gratitude journal, meditation, dry brushing, ice facials and gua sha.
Have you done the OWL Reset and if so, what was your experience like? Any advice you’d give to someone trying the Reset for the first time?
Yes! I’ve done it twice. The first time was actually while I was recovering from emergency jaw surgery. This was a very difficult time in my life and the reset was the most healing, nourishing liquid I found during these months. I was so thankful for OWL! I honestly think the bone broth helped me heal more quickly. The second time I enjoyed it as well and felt increased mental clarity, better sleep and improved digestion.
Any advice you’d give to someone trying the Reset for the first time?
Drink lots of water and listen to your body! If you need rest, rest. If you need food, eat from the approved list. It’s not about deprivation. It’s about healing and you shouldn’t be pushing yourself too hard. Use this time to really reset your body and your mind.
What mantra do you live by?
Balance is key in all things.
Everything will work out if you let go and trust the universe.
