Product Spotlight: Vegan Mineral Broth

Bone Broth has many health benefits that have attracted many people for centuries. A traditional broth is a liquid containing brewed bones and connective tissues. It can be beneficial for the joints, digestive system, and especially our immune systems. Bone broth is gaining in popularity, and we have plenty of options with our turkey, beef, chicken and bison broth elixirs, but we thought... what about our vegan friends?!

After meeting so many customers at our in-store demos who wanted to try the benefits of bone broth, but who didn’t eat animal products for various reason. We wanted to come up with a vegan version of our broth elixirs that would have similar immune boosting properties as our non-vegan broth elixirs. We created our Organic Vegan Mineral Broth Elixir with this in mind.

Vegan Mineral Broth with fresh herbs


Our healing vegan broth elixir is mineralized with apple cider vinegar, lightly seasoned with herbs, roots, and vegetables sourced from local farms. The result is an earthy-citrusy savory broth loaded with essential vitamins and minerals, designed to nourish the body and boost immunity. You can drink this broth as a comforting, warm beverage, or add it as a base for soups, rice, and more.

Bone Broth is packed with benefits to begin with, but we infuse our OWL broths with medicinal herbs with healing properties, transforming them from a traditional stock into an elixir that promotes holistic wellness. Our vegan, mineral broth elixir contains mushrooms and seaweed which boost immunity, support thyroid health, and contain anti-aging properties. 



Vegan broth ingredients


Let’s dive into our ingredients in our Vegan Broth that make it a great substitution for your more traditional Bone Broth.


MORINGA - Moringa can protect and nourish your skin and hair. It can also protect the liver and prevents and treats cancer. It also works in treating stomach complaints you may be having, and can assist in making your bones healthier, as well as treat mood disorders.

WOOD EAR MUSHROOMS - This type of mushroom is used to treat traditional medicine to help prevent iron deficiency, anemia, hematemesis, high blood pressure, cancer, and so many other diseases or issues you may be facing.

CORDYCEPS - These are used to treat some every day issues you may be facing. Such as, coughs, chronic bronchitis, respiratory disorders, high cholesterol, dizziness, weakness, opium addition and so much more.

SHIITAKE MUSHROOMS - These mushrooms are used to boost your immune system, lowering blood cholesterol levels, hardening of the arteries, diabetes, eczema, cold and flue, treating prostate or breast cancer, and as an anti-aging agent. It is also used for hepatitis B, herpes, high blood pressure, and stomach aches.

KOMBU - Kombu will help you improve stomach issues you may be having. Issues such as digestion and reducing gas. It contains certain amino acids that can help break the heavy starches found in foods, such as beans. It is another ingredient that can potentially help prevent cancer and aids in improving thyroid function.

LAVENDER - Lavender has many benefits that is found in various items you may already have in your kitchen. It is used to remedy various ailments including insomnia, anxiety, depression and fatigue. It can also help alleviate insomnia, anxiety and stress.

CILANTRO - Cilantro contains anti-convulsant properties, antioxidant effects, mood benefits, management of diabetes, anti-inflammatory properties, nutritional benefits, antimicrobial properties, and may help lower blood sugar. Cilantro also has many properties that will assist in boosting your immune system and heart health.

SAGE - Sage is high in several nutrients and has a healthy dose of vitamins and minerals. It is also loaded with antioxidants and may support oral health and ease menopause symptoms. It may also reduce blood sugar levels, support memory and brain health, lower bad LDL cholesterol, and protect against certain cancers.

THYME - Thyme is packed with vitamin C and is also a good source of Vitamin A. If you are feeling under the weather, thyme can help you get back to good health. It is also a good source of copper, fiber, iron, and manganese.

SAVORY - Savory can assist with cold and flu symptoms such as coughs and sore throats. It can also help ease any intestinal disorders such as cramps, indigestion, gas, diarrhea, nausea and loss of appetite.

PARSLEY - This herb is versatile and provides a concentrated source of nutrients. It is rich in Vitamins A, C and K. It may improve bone health, protect against chronic disease and antioxidant benefits.

SWISS CHARD - With a high source of Vitamin K, A and C, Swiss chard also has a great source of magnesium, potassium, iron and dietary fibers.

CARROTS - Carrots have a high amount of fiber, vitamin K1, potassium and antioxidants as well as beta carotene. It is a weight loss friendly vegetable and is linked to lowering cholesterol levels and improving eye health

CELERY - Celery has become a popular ingredient to add in a variety of different meals because of it’s variety of beneficial health benefits. It has a various amount of important antioxidants that can help reduce inflammation and support digestion. It is rich in vitamins and minerals with a low glycemic index. It also has an alkalizing effect that can assist in preventing cancer.

FENNEL - Fennel aids in helping regulate blood pressure, reducing water retention, constipation, indigestion, IBS, bloating, asthma symptoms, purify blood, improves eyesight. It can also help improve acne, reducing the formation of blood clots, increasing milk secretion as well as supporting the female reproductive symptoms. It acts as an antioxidant and has antibacterial effects and anti fungal activity.

GINGER - Ginger contains gingerol, which is a substance with powerful medicinal properties. It can treat forms of nausea such as morning sickness. It can assist in reducing muscle pain and soreness, as well as help those with osteoarthritis because of anti-inflammatory effects. It may lower sugars and improve heart disease risk factors as well as treating chronic indigestion. Ginger powder may significantly reduce menstrual pain and lower cholesterol levels, as well as fighting to prevent infections, some diseases and cancer.

TURMERIC - Turmeric is used to fight inflammation. It may protect against her disease and treat and prevent cancer. Along with other health benefits, it can protect your body from free radicals and work as an anti-aging supplement.

HIMALAYAN SEA SALT - This type of salt will work to flush out your toxins, regulate blood sugar and hormonal balance. It also improves digestion and can be used as salt therapy for respiratory problems.

All of these ingredients are beneficial on their own, but simmered together, they create a potent sippable broth that we refer to as our Vegan Mineral Broth Elixir. Adding this highly nutritious broth to you diet will help your body restore, repair, and replenish.
