All About 'Hygge' + Our New Home Goods!

Did you know that living in a cozy space is actually good for your health? The Danes figured this out a long time ago, and they commonly refer to that feeling of comfort as hygge.

Hygge, pronounced ‘hoo-ga’, is becoming a household term as society shifts to sustainability, simple pleasures, and self-care.

But what exactly does hygge mean?

Well... this term can be used in a myriad of ways. In reality, any time you use hygge to describe a feeling of comfort or an item that brings you peace, you’re probably using the word correctly.


Here’s an example of hygge:

Curling up in a warm blanket while wearing your favorite pajamas, sipping on broth, and reading a good book. Better yet: It’s raining outside, there’s a fire in the fireplace, and your pet is sound asleep beside you.

Sounds pretty blissful, right? 

Now, more than ever, it’s essential that we are intentional about hygge!

 

This means setting time aside to be present with our loved ones (whether they are on your couch or on FaceTime), to take care of our mental and physical health, and be intentional about the things we surround ourselves with.
