Meet Mckenzi Cohen

OWL Health Coach McKenzi Cohen

 

What's your role with OWL and what inspires you about the company?

I am a National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach and a Brand Education Manager at OWL. I am so inspired by what OWL (one whole life) stands for and what Lindsey has created! Healing from the inside out through a organic nutrient dense diet and holistic lifestyle is what I live by.

 

What got you into health & wellness?

Over 5 years ago, I was having extreme fatigue, weight gain, brain fog, and gut issues and no one could get to the bottom of it. I started working with a functional medicine doctor and was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition called Hashimoto's along with mold poisoning and leaky gut. After a lot of dedication and persistence, I was able to heal myself holistically! I now want to help others and provide the knowledge I gained through healing myself. There is a way out of the constant symptoms and you can and will heal!

 

What is the most rewarding aspect of being a health coach?

I love helping others and teaching people that they have everything they need within themselves to heal and be the best version of themselves.

What kind of self care rituals do you have?

Dry brushing and then hopping in the infrared sauna to stimulate the lymphatic system and detox toxins, getting at least 7 hours of sleep each night, weekly epsom salt baths and going on walks outside in the sun with my pup are all so healing!

 

Have you done the OWL Reset and if so, what was your experience like? Any advice you’d give to someone trying the Reset for the first time?

Yes I did the reset back when Lindsey was selling them out of her house! Back then I was on a FODMAP diet and couldn't have garlic or onions and finding these broths was a god send. I felt amazing on the cleanse and after I was inspired to keep living a anti inflammatory lifestyle! My advice to others is to add the approved veggies into the broth so you have something to "chew on", drink a ton of lemon water and allow your body this time to rest to focus on the healing taking place. 

 

Are there any books, podcasts, shows, meditations, or products that you’re loving right now?

I am a sucker for a Colleen Hoover romance novel and can never put them down! I also love listening to to Mark Hyman, Be Well By Kelly and Goop podcasts while I commute around LA.
